Blackpool operators get Illuminations boost


Two of Blackpool’s biggest amusements operators have reiterated how important the resort’s famous Illuminations are for their businesses. The owners of its three piers and Blackpool Pleasure Beach said that seafront lights helped attract tourists beyond the summer, helping to boost revenue. The annual display brings in the region of four million visitors every autumn and is thought to be worth £275m to the local economy.
