Plans officially lodged for a new £12m hotel at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Britain’s most popular amusement park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, is hoping to build on the success of its 15-year-old Big Blue Hotel and offer even more accommodation to visitors. Blackpool Pleasure Beach has officially submitted plans to build a £12m 120-bedroom hotel and conference centre on its site to Blackpool Council. The application described the project as having the potential to provide “a huge improvement to the visual appearance” on a “prominent” corner site on the edge of the Pleasure Beach, which will “provide new employment and enhance the local economy”.
