Crowdfunding raises £466,000 to save Brighton’s seafront terraces
A crowdfunding campaign has raised £466,000 to help save Brighton’s Victorian seafront arches. Madeira Terrace, a Grade II-listed structure running half a mile along the seafront, has been closed to the public after falling into disrepair. But a crowdfunding scheme initiated by the city council has seen local residents, businesses, and celebrities help raise £45,000 more than the original target.
